IDG World Expo announced Tuesday that Macworld/iWorld trade show is going on "hiatus" and that there will be no event in 2015.
Macworld Expo had run continuously in San Francisco since 1985 and even branched out to other cities around the world, including Boston, New York, Paris and Tokyo. The show was dealt a severe blow when Apple announced that 2009 was going to be the company's last. The show evolved into Macworld/iWorld, which became a more community or "fan" based event that was still a great place to see new products, learn skills and meet new and old friends that all shared something in common, Apple and their products.
I've personally attended every San Francisco Macworld Expo event since January 1994 and this is a sad day indeed.
