The new iMac is the fastest one ever and can be ordered with a 4GHz Intel Core i7-4790k processor, which is currently the fastest ‘single-threaded’ processor in the world. Many applications that architects use are single-threaded, which makes the Retina iMac a better choice than the MacPro. As a bonus, Apple throws in a 14.7 million pixel, 5K display.
